Liege-Bastogne-Liege... LIVE!!! (Thread #1)

The curtain comes down on the Spring Classics today, but there's one last great chance for Cycling to take a bow. I watched the 2003 version on the trainer tonight, and what struck me was how, although the race kept coming back together, the last 50km were a complete slugfest. Also, Lance and Sammy Sanchez storming through Belgium is a cool thing to see. Anyway, it'll be a great day today.

And I won't be here to see it. We're off camping. Hopefully Cycling.TV will have the as-live version available when I get back. I'm making two threads; please migrate over to number 2 when this one hits 400 comments and becomes a tad unwieldy. Enjoy!

Tradition. I've heard them referred
to as the "Giants of the North" in the PR race.  Each small town builds one for the sping festivals so popular over there in northern Europe, including Germany, France, Holland, Belgium (& probably more that I don't know anything about.)

My relatives over there have HUGE May Day fests in their little towns, involving copious amounts of beer and wursts, bands and schunkeling (swaying back and forth with the music.)

I refreshed, I even closed that browser window and re-opened the live viewer entirely from the "Live Races" page, and it made no difference - the feed I'm getting at 800 is still cutting out and buffering all the time.

Yet strangely enough, 1200 seems to be working ok for the moment...

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
