Team Argos-Shimano names seven of their confirmed riders for next season

Team Argos-Shimano announces that their women's team roster for the 2013 season is almost complete.

Seven riders are already confirmed and include returning riders Amy Pieters, Kelly Markus and Esra Tromp, and new team members Kirsten Wild (AA Drink-Leontien.nl), Charlotte Becker (Specialized-Lululemon), Lucy Garner (making her professional debut) and Marlen Jöhrend (Abus - Nutrixxion). Three places remain to be filled.

With the addition of Becker, Garner and Wild, team manager Sissy van Alebeek is hoping to put Team Argos-Shimano on the map.

Becker was crowned world champion team time trial at the World Championships in Limburg last month, while Garner defended her junior title with success.

Wild, who like Becker is active on the road and on the track, was a member of 2012 Dutch Olympic team and of the national team that helped Marianne Vos grab the rainbow stripes at the World Championships.

Team Argos-Shimano is still in talks with a number of riders for the last three open spots in the women's team.
