Vuelta a California Info

It's coming up fast, so to get ready for the action down in Cali, here are a few things to know:

1. There is TV coverage, over at ESPN2. Check the schedule here. Good news for the west coast folks: there's nightly coverage at 10pm. Good news for the east coast: TiVo is cheap and plentiful.

2. Check out the Amgen Tour of California site -- team listings, an email alert service, and the predictable information about each stage, maps, etc.

Along similar lines, this year we should be able to tell if the promise of Cycling.TV will ever be realised. Every time I checked last year, they were rerunning stages of Prijs Vlaanderen. But this year they have a live webcast lineup that includes Het Volk, Ghent-Wevelgem, Amstel Gold, the Tour of Romandie, Tour de Suiss, and some other races of similar caliber. Not sure about any of the bigger name races, whether Cycling.TV will even promise us incessant highlights...

And of course, all's mum over at OLN. Given the way they avoided the subject before dropping their Vuelta coverage, I fear the worst.
