Yesterday was all CSC, today was all Germany...
- Gerald Ciolek, the surprise 2005 German National Champ, usurped his elders again today in a bunch sprint on stage 3 of the D-Tour. Not the most eventful race, and tomorrow doesn't look much different, aside from a short final climb to Bad Tolz. Vlad Gusev retains yellow by his fingernails.
- Similar result in the Little D-Tour, where Rene Haselbacher gets big props for delivering teammate Robert Forster to the stage 3 win over Stuart O'Grady -- forever second on the stage but now first on GC. Nice way to celebrate his CSC contract extension, with a lead that might stick after Cadel Evans slipped to 50 seconds back. BTW, who's the Rasmussen kid in third? I know, it's not exactly a rare name in Denmark.
- The rest of today's news from the Fatherland is off the bike -- Jan awash in drugs and invoices, Klodi dissed by his team, Ciolek on the move to T-Mob... but you know all this already.
