Vuelta a Espa?a- Etapa Diecis?is: El Momento de Verdad

New, comments

The table has been set, all the usual suspects are present and now after a day of rest, the '06 Vuelta will kick into high gear.  Today's stage 16 will take the riders 145 km from Almería to the Astronomical Observatory of Calar Alto.  Oh sure 89 miles how tough can that be?  Try two Cat 1's and one Categoría Especiale up the 2,090 meter Calar Alto.  Look for many attacks by Astana and CSC on the the jersey de oro of Alejandro Valverde.  Can the young star and his dedicated Caisse de Epargne team stave them off?  This is going to be fun.  Have at it.

[editor's note, by chris] This is going to be great!
