It's hard to try to get in the head of the uber-talented yet enignmatic Alexander Vinokourov. He has won two stages in sucession. Yesterday he ruined the Sprinters day and today he rode away with the Queen Stage of the '06 Vuelta. Is he coming into form as the race reaches the midway point? After some early stumbles is he back and ready to take the leaders jersey? Is he riding for his teammate and compatriot Kashechkin while grabbing a little glory? Pre-world tune-up(insert laughter here..)? His history with T-Mobile was that he was fine when Jan wasn't there, but never took to his super-domestique roll. I won't deny that he is exciting, but pro racing is a team sport, just as much as basketball and maybe more than baseball. What are your thoughts?
