Now, when it comes to giving ridiculous interviews, Pat McQuaid has few peers, but his counterpart at ASO, Patrice Clerc, is doing his best to get in the game. Here is a story about how the Pro Tour and ASO still want to work things out, and yet the quotes feature an enlightening back-and-forth on whether the ASO and the Societe du Tour de France is older than the UCI; whether the parties are talking about having talks; and if you dig deep enough, a few more nuggets where each side questions the other's integrity.

And yet, we're asked to believe that the fate of Unibet lies in the hands of their respective secretaries, who are trying to set up a meeting for next week. To paraphrase Sean Yates, WTF?
