As Pez mentioned in Monday's Eurotrash, there's actually a precursor to what we're doing with the year-long Virtual Directeur Sportif 2007. It's a Dutch site that's been running a competition for a few years, and recently started an English-language version.
Some differences: it's much more hands-on, as you pick 56 cyclists and choose a roster of 28 for each race. Also, true to it's international nature, you'd be going up against 1500 or so of your closest cycling-mad Belgian friends. But it's free, and their proprietor has extended a personal invite to Podium Cafe members, so have at it:
They also have a nifty website running current interviews. Welcome, Bears.
