Why should France and Italy have all the fun? In Mallorca, the Challenge Illes Balears kicks off with no less than Alejandro Valverde, Tom Boonen, PVP, Erik Zabel, Danilo DiLuca, Pippo Pozzato, Gibo Simoni, Stef Schumacher, and the Disco, T-Mob and Rabo A-listers, among others.
The races go on around the Balearic Islands from Sunday to Thursday. No doubt stage one will include some remembrances of Isaac Galvez, Caisse d'Epargne's departed teammate who won in Mallorca last year. He's featured on the race website, which is a pretty good resource even if you don't speak Spanish, thanks to its flash display of the stages.
