According to various sources, via CN, there is a chance that blood bags seized in Operacion Puerto and suspected of containing blood from Ivan Basso will be transfered to Italy this week for testing, including comparison to a DNA sample from the rider himself. Basso is unlikely to start at La Fleche Wallonne tomorrow as the process is sorted out. The renewed interest in his case, which had been shelved, comes following an article in Interviu containing further damning details. Should DNA testing and blood analysis take place, the results should either exonerate Basso or drive the nail into his coffin. Not that anything in OP has ever been clear...
