Today's stage is the second time the race has finished in Scarperia. In 1977, the Giro came here for a stage won by Marino Basso... no apparent relation though. Hopefully that bad karma won't undermine the day's action. Look for some breakaways, but some impatience by the sprinters' teams too. And at 254 KM, nobody should be in too big a hurry.
