Long haul today, 228 km to Nauders, with a fair portion of that on the ascent of the Flüelapass, a hors categoire (off the charts) climb some 60km from the line. There are plenty of uphill stretches in the closing kms too. Overall leader and returning hero Fabien Cancellara tipped Damiano Cunego as the man to watch in the mountains. Cunego makes sense, he needs something to put on his resume for the season and the opportunities are running low. Should be a lovely ride...
