One thing worth keeping an eye on are the youngsters, many of whom have been carrying water for the last few months and will now be given a chance to show what they can do in the current run of late-season, lesser races. One guy to watch is Edvald Boasson Hagen of Maxbo Bianchi, who won in Ireland today. Cavendish served notice yesterday; Ciolek is also getting his chance at the T-Mob. Sometime this offseason we'll start keeping tabs of the future stars, and now's a good time to take some notes.
