This stage looks ripe for a breakaway. Rolling into Marco Pantani's hometown, the course meanders through the hills of Romagna, including 6km of nasty, 9% climbing up Monte Carpegna. Not a place where the sprinters' teams are going to want to chase down a few minnows on the loose. Why do I get a funny feeling a Tinkoff rider will be involved? Anyway, it should be another beautiful and somewhat curious stage, so enjoy!
