OK, another mellow stage = another chance to hijack the final live thread for the post-race discussion too. Nuthin doin for poor Killer, who ceded two seconds in a bonus sprint and saw his own ambitions for finish bonuses inevitably swamped by other glory-seekers, most notably Phil GiIbert. For those of you who have been following the race, the Giro is not an omnium format where you can sit out, say, the first 19 stages, and arrive for the last weekend. In fact, Gilbert and other Silence Lotto riders have been in the race all three weeks. You can look it up. Today's results:
