Alberto Contador, at the rest-day press gaggle:
Q: Your finish line gesture, is that a cowboy pistol?
AC: No, that’s something I’ve been doing since the start of the 2007 season. It’s a gesture for the people who have supported me, so that things might be easier for them.
So, if you shoot the people who supported you, they can rest easier? Or are they supposed to shoot people who are getting in their way? Or is the gun meant to signify that people can hunt for food, and eliminate hunger? If anyone can unpack this further, please do.
