Zirbel Aids USADA, Receives Reduced Suspension

D_mediumCyclingNews reports today that Tom Zirbel has received an early end to his doping suspension. You may remember that the American tested positive for DHEA, which he claimed that he did not take intentionally. The USADA disagreed with his arguments and gave him the full two year sanction. Now comes the news that Zirbel will end his suspension early. Significantly, the USADA decision did not result from a reconsideration of the facts of Zirbel's case. Instead, he can return to racing after providing "significant information" in USADA cases against two other athletes. Zirbel is now free to ride, if he can find a team.
