It's been a hectic few days for women's racing and this one slipped through the preview net, but today the Dwars door de Westhoek was run in Belgium and Grace Verbeke won a two-up sprint with break companion Janneke Ensing to show that she's recovered from her bizarre double crash in the Giro where the neutral service car that was meant to be helping her accidentally dumped her back on the ground again. This is a cat 5 VDS race and points go down to 10th place:
1. Grace Verbeke de 125 km in 3u26:15 (gem. 36,22 km/u)
2. Janneke Ensing (Ned)
3. Martine Bras (Ned) op 1:20
4. Liesbet De Vocht;
5. Nathalie Maborelle (Lux);
6. Sofie De Vuyst 1:21;
7. Christine Majerus (Lux) 1:23;
8. Petra Dijkman (Ned);
9. Marijn de Vries (Ned) 1:24;
10. Emma Grant (GBr) 1:50;
If you want to see how the race unfolded then Dolmans team boss Bart Faes was tweeting updates. Or if we're lucky then Podium Cafe Legend Miffy Galloway who was also there racing will write a blog.
