Olympic Individual Sprint: a picture preview

In 2011 I was a photographer at the track worldchampionships in Apeldoorn (Holland). It was my first WC Track and I really was impressed by the athletes of the individual sprint - the 'king'-discipline of track.

In the next couple of day, Hoy, Baugé and Kenny - I suppose - are going to decide who will take gold at the Olympic sprint racefor the men. Meares and Pendleton - I guess - will be the two ladies who will fight for gold...

Below the jump: a picture story... (from WC Track 2011)

There will be some terrific fights, so my number one advice: please watch it on television!

And what do you think of the Legs of a certain René Enders (Germany)? Mister Popeye on a bike?
