5 Rik Van Looy vs. 12 Cyrille Van Hauwaert

This is getting fun...

Rik Van Looy

Cobbles Credentials: Rik II was the first rider to win the Cobbles Trilogy, Flanders-GW-Roubaix, in 1962. Won a total of two Rondes, three Roubaixs, three Gent-Wevelgems, two Scheldeprijs's and four E3 Prijs editions. A total of 19podiums (including wins) in these races.

DId you know? The Emperor of the Herentals just won everything in sight, save for stage race classifications. He won 42 races in 1965 alone.

Cyrille Van Hauwaert

Cobbles Credentials: Won Paris-Roubaix in 1908 on his second try, scoring the first Belgian victory in the race and breaking the French stranglehold. In six tries he finished in the top six every time, his last effort in 1914 being his worst after four podiums in five starts.

DId you know? Was also the first Belgian winner, in each case, of Bordeaux-Paris, Milano-Sanremo and a stage of the Tour de France. His nickname was "the Lion of Flanders." Original cobbles badass.
