In June, a group of American professional female cyclists announced the launch of the Women’s Cycling Association, an organization aiming to make cycling a more sustainable career track women.
According to their website, The WCA is building a coalition of women cyclists, across the globe, who support the advancement and success of Women's Cycling on both sporting and business levels. The association will represent the interests of women in the sport through cooperative advocacy with governing bodies as well as professional business development for both teams and individuals.
One of the goals of the coalition is to secure a minimum wage for female professional cyclists. It also hopes to grow the sport by investing in young riders.
To make it all happen, they need our backing. The coalition is currently trying to raise $3,000 to fund the completion of a website and the cost of necessary professional services required to move the organization forward.
