Ypres - Arenberg Port du Hainaut 155 km
Mini-Roubaix, perhaps the most highly anticipated stage of the year. More brutal cobbles than we've ever seen in the TdF. Also the stage (which will have video from km 0) starts in Ypres, a town full of memories from the horrors of World War 1 so the start will mark the memory of that.
UPDATE: As of now, two of the pavé sectors have been canceled due to the rain and poor road conditions. Sectors 7 & 5, Mons en Pevélé and Orchies are out.
Roger de Vlaeminck of the Day: Alexander Kristoff
Let's assume the biggest specialists cool their jets ever so little because of the potentially nasty conditions, that should give Kristoff the possibility to hang on and dominate the sprint.
