L'Isle Jourdain - Lac de Payolle 162.5

Big mountain time. The pretty much standard "one big final climb" opening mountain stage, this time with a twist as the stage finishes with a descent off the Col d'Aspin rater than at the top as we are accustomed to. Same same but different. Will any of the bigs get caught out with wooden legs after the flat stages or did the Masif Central clear out those cobwebs?

Pyrenéan Bear of the day : Richie Porte

The break may well make it but in case they don't , Porte is perhaps the GC guy with the most incentive to go all in on this stage. Especially as BMC will be working for the yellow jersey all day.
