Summary

Oh, right I forgot. There are no sprinters at this Vuelta. And fairly few opportunities for sprinters as well. There maaay be 5 chances in the race on stages 2, 5, 16, 18 & 21

Stage 2

Stage 2

Stage 5

Stage 5

Stage 16

Stage 16

Stage 18

Stage 18

Stage 21

Stage 21

But even with these stages already a brief look at the startlist will have you asking who is going to make these sprints happen? Because literally no one has brought any A-list sprinting ability or a team to back up a sprinter. So chances are the breakaway is going to walk away with some of this.

Listing the biggest sprinters here gives you an idea:

JJ Rojas, Jempy Drucker, Jens Keukeleire, Magnus Cort, Lorrenzo Manzin, Kevin Reza, Nikias Arndt, Niccolo Bonifazio, Yves Lampaert, Gianni Meersman, Kristian Sbaragli, Jonas Van Genechten aaaand wait for it.............. Tyler Farrar.

I may have missed some Titan of Sprinting or been a bit generous in the labeling of those above but you get the picture, if you want to watch sprinting: tune in to Hamburg Cyclassics and the Tour of Britain.
