Wij zijn er klar vor

"We are ready for it." That pretty much seems to sum up the emotions just hours before the most beautiful race of the year, the Ronde van Vlaanderen.

I write this brief note from the temporary Podiumcafe headquarters in Ronse in Flanders, just a few kilometers south of the Oude Kwaremont, and a few hundred meters from the bottom of the Kruisberg. Chris arrived here today just as me, Drew and our resident alpine climber Will had a great day out riding the Tour of Flanders sportive. All of us plus Jimbo, Megabeth, Tifosa (Susie Hartigan) and assorted others will be out somewhere on the course tomorrow yelling ourselves hoarse and enjoying the day. I hope all of you at home do the same in front of the TVs and on the Podiumcafe. We’ll try and keep you all as updated as internet connections and sobriety levels will allow.

Also do not miss the live feed of the finale of the women’s race tomorrow, co-commentated by none other than Sarah/Pigeons who we met up with in Oudenaarde today, she is going to be brilliant.

But for now all I can say is that we could not be more ready!
