PodCafSt #11: Giro Time!

Join us for a preview of the Giro d’Italia, a check-in on the Sardinian stages, and the world’s best selection of prop bets

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Today on the PodCafSt, it’s a Specialità, our opening coverage of the Giro d’Italia. Join us for a discussion of the race, its top riders, its parcours, its opening stages, and most importantly of all, a bunch of prop bets we adopted or made up for entertainment purposes.

OK, the props you should know about are:

  • Number of riders to finish the Giro (160.5 o/u)
  • Number of points by the winner of the points competition (225 o/u)
  • Stage on/after which the eventual winner of the Giro takes the maglia rosa for good (16 o/u)
  • Number of stages won by the eventual overall winner of the Giro (1.5 o/u)

I am going to say now that I am putting $10 (from my mythical “bank”) on each of my prop bets. My Gorilla points winner pick is already looking pretty bad, frankly, so I need to do everything I can to get back in the black.

As always, you can find the PodCafSt on iTunes, or SoundCloud, or via our RSS feed.
