Silly Corner: 2020 Transfer news

As weird as it sounds when there has hardly been a season yet, the time has come when transfers for next year can be announced.

In a year that offers up nothing but weirdness there hasn’t been an awful lot of transfer rumors beyond the big big soap opera surrounding the future of Chris Froome. That was decided and announced fairly early and now more and more news is coming out. So here is a spot to discuss new contracts, rumors and implications of whatever moves might happen.

Beyond Froome moving to Israel Start-Up Nation the biggest news we’ve had announced is probably Roubaix runner-up Nils Politt, the most dentally gifted rider in the peloton, moving to growing powerhouse Bora-hansgrohe from Israel Start-Up. The first rumbling of what looks like a major shake-up at Ag2r is the news that Pierre Latour, their coming man behind Bardet has signed for Total Direct Energie. Add to that a lot of rumors of Bardet leaving as well and Greg Van Avermaet coming in to bolster their classics squad instead and there may be a lot of interesting news coming from France.
