So, here we go! With the Belgians having won gold, silver and bronze in the Juniors, and gold and silver in the u23, can their elite men repeat the feat, or can home rider Lars van der Haar rain on their parade?
It won't be raining on the course (wow, that was forced!) It's cold, dry and sunny, and apparently the mud is drying out after the u23 raced. You can watch the 10m English highlights on the UCI youtube, and more clips from the race, including the full last lap, on Sporza's u23 Match Center.
To watch - the stream at the top is in English, but geo-blocked in some countries (but there are ways round that!) and it's live on tv on Sporza and NOS Sports. If you want other streams for coverage, as always, check the three usual places. The tv coverage should start around half an hour before the race.
Startlist and course profile are on the race website, and if you want an idea of who to watch, here's Douglas' guide to the big contenders. There'll be live information on Sporza's elite men Match Center as the race takens place. If you're wondering what to do before the men start, how about re-living the women's race? I've collected all the videos and links I could find in a post on my blog - and there's also Douglas' guide to the Champs and the course video as seen by bike!
As always, there'll be conversation in the comments - please do join in, we're super-friendly and love this sport. Racing is always better in company!
